How I Was Inspired to Write the "Don't Worry, Be Nappy!" Song"

Thirty years ago, I had just started growing dreadlocks. In that short time, I had already experienced both the positive and negative aspects of having this hairstyle.

On the negative side, I had been stared at, made negative comments about, and even avoided by people who thought I was a madman. But on the positive side, I had also received support, inspiration, and help from people who saw my dreadlocks as a sign of strength and individuality.

I was inspired to write the song below after meeting Mr. McFerrin, a world-renowned musician who also has dreadlocks. I hope this song inspires you to continue your journey, whatever it may be.
